The biggest producer of polluting greenhouse gases, China, has just built the world’s biggest solar farm, Longyangxia Dam Solar Park.
The energy agency is committed to spend $360 million on renewable energy and main the purpose is to reducing energy from fossil fuels to 20% of its total demand.
The 4 million solar panels site on Tibetan plateau is worth $890 million, covers 27 square kilometers and it can produce enough energy to power 200,000 homes.
Through this project, by 2020, China aims to be producing 110 gigawatts of solar power and to become the world’s largest supplier of renewable energy.
